The winds blow
Making the embers glow..

I set near the fire warming my hands
Looking across the lands..

As all the tall trees
Dance in the breeze..

I hear a bark and a howl
As well as the hoot of a owl..

Somewhere in the shadows
Or perhaps the meadows..

I set still
Looking up towards the hill..

The moon shines bright
In the stary night..

I feel apart of the lands
As I set clasping my hands..

Looking to east and the west
This time of night I like best..

The frogs and the crickets sing their song
As the long night continues along..

A smile touches my face
I really love this place..

Shot the wife (men joke)

"So let me get this straight," the prosecutor says to the defendant, "you came home from work early and found your wife in bed with a strange man."

"That's correct," says the defendant.

"Upon which," continues the prosecutor, "you take out a pistol and shoot your wife, killing her."

"That's correct," says the defendant.

"Then my question to you is, why did you shoot your wife and not her lover?" asked the prosecutor.

"It seemed easier," replied the defendant, "than shooting a different man every day!"

Who We Are..

Its not how much we earn, who we know or what we have accomplished that makes us who we are, its who we are inside our character. What we stand for and what be die for. Part of your character is who you are when your alone, the things we do when there is no one around to see. You've heard the old saying? "Actions speak louder then words" There is truth in that. Actions do define what our character is. Whither its giving, understanding, honest or dishonest. Building ones character is a bit like the wise or the humble. It comes in time and experiance. Seems like the older I get the more of all these fall into place, I would like to believe anyway. I have learned alot from past experiances, not all I'd ever want to repeat. The things of the past has made me the person I am today.

Thoughts From Ellie

Well Santa's come and gone. Hope you got what you wanted for Christmas. If not well theres always next year and if you'll be good he just may consider it. I tried and well guess I wasn't good enough so I'll shoot for next year.

Another years gone and here we are peeking around the corner at 2009! Wow, time sure flies by when you dont want it too. I made my New Years lists had to revise it several times do to being honest with myself. See I had gotten way to big of ideas. Thought I'd better be more realistic. If you get goals too big that you "wont or can't" reach, well whats the point in making them in the first place. Your just going to be disappointed and let yourself down. So make sure you are realistic, that you actually have a chance to meet your New Years Reasolution. Don't make them so simple that there is no challenge. A New Years Reasolution is like turning over that new leaf that gives you a fresh start .. a new lease on life. Yes with taxes and high gas prices it's hard to get too tingly over it. Stay positive, keep your chin up and march forward into your future. I truly believe that your life is in your hands. Your attitude makes who you are. If you want a better life or to stop smoking.. by golly do it! Change that old mind set and start a new one .. what better time then the New Year! Make a pack with yourself and start now writing that list of all the things you've been putting off. NO time is better then the present.

Please remember to be safe if you drink make sure you don't drive or a buddy doesn't and by all means if your a true friend don't let yor friend go home with a ugly man she doesn't know....:o) P.S Not a good start to a New Year.
